I had been thinking of what it would be like to have some of my smaller works shown in a gallery setting for some time and finally took the plunge and submitted some of my work for consideration. I'm pleased to announce that three of my pieces were shown at The Confluence Gallery in Twisp, WA from November 20, 2021 to January 8, 2022. The exhibit was called 10x10, A Riot of Color and artists were challenged to create pieces predominantly in one hue, exploring shades of tones of one color. This was a fun challenge for me in particular, partially because I already do this in my own work. To complete the pieces I had to massively scale down the size of what I typically do and I also pushed myself to work in three hues that I don't normally gravitate towards. Two of the pieces sold (orange and yellow)! The exhibit is now finished but check out the website for this fantastic gallery that hosted the show: https://www.confluencegallery.org/
